The Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Providence College invites applicants for two tenure track Assistant Professor positions in computer science, commencing fall 2025.
Preference in making the appointments will be given to candidates who have a background in Data Science, in Computer Security, or in Machine Learning but all specialties will be considered. The positions require on the part of each successful candidate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching (nine credit hours per semester), the establishment of an ongoing research program, and the willingness to be active in service to the college and community.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in computer science (or a closely related field) from an accredited institution (or earn one by August 1, 2025).

The salary for this position is between $100,000-$105,000.
