Roles And Responsibilities

  • Non-legal contract experts primarily supporting all phases (proposal and post contract award execution) of projects including negotiations, managing commercial issues, customer relationships, claims and disputes.
  • Responsibilities cover the entire contracting lifecycle, from receipt of solicitation through contract close-out.
  • Act as primary interface between GE and customers on all contractual matters.
  • Provide contract administration for assigned proposals and contracts including regular interfacing with customers, leading negotiations, and contract interpretation.
  • Perform proposal, negotiation, and contract administration functions on assigned proposals / contracts with minimal supervision.
  • Provide interface liaison with functional organizations and insure proper communication of contractual requirements.
  • Effectively interface with all functions of the business including Program Management, Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Legal.
  • Provide advice and counsel to other functional areas on contracting topics, issues, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • If assigned to work US Government contract activity (either on a Prime or subcontract), the position requires solid proficiency in managing various contract types (including complex development) in both the Firm Fixed Price Contracts and the Cost Reimbursement Group, as described in the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • If assigned to work civil contracts the position requires solid proficiency in managing various types of civil contracts, with a solid understanding of commercial contract terms and conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 3 years of experience in government contract and/or civil contract formation and execution.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
