General Job Description

Pay - $19.71 - $29.81 Depending on Experience

We are looking to employ an experienced Assistant Property Manager for a local real estate firm with knowledge in Fair Housing Laws, property management, and leasing. Candidates may not have commercial real estate experience, but should have at least 1-2 years of experience in a professional real estate role.

Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide full administrative support, including phone support, typing, reports, filing and distribution of

correspondence.

  • Responsible for ensuring all tenants have up to date Certificates of Insurance (COI) on file.
  • Responsible for maintaining up to date HVAC files on each unit/property.
  • Responsible for rent delinquency and collection.
  • Address tenant inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain positive relationships with tenants to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
  • Assist in managing relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers for maintenance and repair

services.

  • Assist in rent collection.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including rent payments and expenses.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date property files and records.
  • Prepare and distribute notices, letters, and other communications to tenants as necessary.
  • Other duties and jobs as assigned.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field is a plus).
  • Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge & Experience

Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of experience working in a professional office setting. Property management or leasing experience preferred.

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay- $19.71 - $29.81
  • Benefits- Health, Vision, Dental, 401K
  • Hours/Shifts- 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; Monday through Friday

Working Conditions

  • Work Environment- Office Setting

Employees will mainly be working in an office setting with minimal exposure to austere environments. Employees will frequently be working at a desk while utilizing a laptop computer and phone. Employees may occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
