Responsibilities
Build financial forecasting models and prepares the annual business plan budget
Executes monthly cash flow forecasts to manage company's cash needs
Partner with the operations director and project managers to control/track project costs
Responsible for contract compliance.
Facilitate legal compliance
Business strategy refinement and implementation
Subject matter expert for accounting processes within company's ERP system.
Participating in the capacity planning and ETC review meetings along with department managers, project managers.
Periodic review/calculation of the direct labor rates used for work in process accounting and the standard labor rates used for project cockpit reporting.
Working with project managers to assure that billing milestones are adequately documented and billed as milestones are reached.
Manages the annual external financial statement audit process.
Reviews BBSC monthly financial results and assures that proper submissions are made thru COGNOS (the BBS financial reporting tool.). Interpret and communicate financial results through the use of the standard financial reporting package in accordance with the monthly schedule.
Experience with IFRS reporting standards
Reports directly to the company president.
Qualifications
Education
A post-secondary diploma or degree specializing in accounting, finance or equivalent
A professional financial designation such as CA, CPA, CMA MBA or CGA is preferred.
Experience
A minimum of five years' experience in a manufacturing, financial and cost accounting environment.
Individual must have an ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with people at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in written form.
Experience with ERP/PC-based accounting systems and software tools are required.
Strong analytical, financial and accounting skills as well as an ability to significantly contribute to the management of the division are keys.
Computer knowledgeable with such programs as Windows, Excel, Word, MS Outlook, Adobe, etc.
Good knowledge of Sales Force a plus or other CRM experience.
