Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with standard procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Handle payroll, insurance deductions, commissions, and tax payments.
- Maintain balance sheet schedules, prepaid expenses, and accrued expenses.
- Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P).
- Reconcile accounting entries and operational data.
- Streamline and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information.
- Use MS Excel, Google Sheets, and QuickBooks for data management and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the technology industry.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and a proven ability to apply this knowledge in a practical manner.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on providing practical solutions to complex financial issues.
- Strong planning skills with a focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization.
