TDA Research, Inc. is a research and development company located in Wheat Ridge and Golden, Colorado, is currently looking to hire a Controller. This position is an integral part of the administrative team and helps to ensure that the month-end closing process is accurate and efficient. This position will manage the AR and AP functions and will prepare the monthly financial statements for management review. Additionally, this position will entail responsibilities for audit support, payroll review, and compliance with various federal reporting requirements. This position interacts with all employees of the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Must be a fully involved manager and be able to work professionally with all personnel, including direct reports and other management personnel
• Manage A/R and A/P functions
• Manage the general ledger and reconciliations
• Work closely with the contract management team to ensure correct reporting and accounting for all contracts and awards
• Partner with HR on payroll and reporting
• Lead month-end and year-end close
• Prepare accurate and timely accounting records and reports in accordance with GAAP
• Present financials and associated reports to TDA’s Board of Directors and shareholders
• Analyze and explain variances from annual budgets
• Coordinate outside audits with outside independent auditors and regulatory agencies (DCAA), oversee preparation of required items
• Manage capital purchases and depreciation
• Establish, monitor, and enforce accounting procedures and internal controls
• Other job-related duties as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Degree in accounting or finance is required
• Demonstrated accounting and finance knowledge with at least eight years of supervisory experience in a similar role
• Excel in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment with the ability to prioritize and keep a positive outlook
• Detail-oriented problem solver
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Government Contractor Cost Accounting requirements
  
  

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• CPA
• Understanding of FAR/DFAR requirements
  
  

The salary range is $130,000.00 - $175,000 per year, with a complete benefits package.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skill set, and/or location.
