Our private equity owned, technology solutions client is seeing a Controller for their growing team. This is a hybrid position based in Addison, TX. This individual will oversee the day-to-day management, evolution and automation of accounting processes and tools. The Controller will manage full-cycle transactional accounting, consolidated financial reporting, variance analysis, acquisition integrations, and leadership of a driven team. This role will offer access and visibility to executive leadership and cross-functional counterparts, growth opportunities, and the opportunity to be a change agent within a dynamic work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversight of the monthly close process. Develop and improve processes throughout the accounting department to improve efficiency, quality, and cycle time.
• Partner with others to upgrade the company’s financial reporting package to deliver timely, accurate and insightful information to leadership.
• Handle the audit coordination and technical GAAP matters.
• Support compilation of financial information and analyses to private equity sponsor and independent board members.
• Maintain strong accounting and control processes over subledger processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, corporate consolidations, and analysis of changes in account balances, etc.
• Support subscription and other billing and develop processes to ensure that such billings are accurate and efficient.
• Responsible for the maintenance and reconciliation of all subledgers and balance sheet accounts. Operational focus is required.
• Lead and collaborate with other departments and outside consultants to drive successful implementation and evolution of ERP and other financial systems. Ensure that business processes are aligned with system configurations and setup to ensure accurate and efficient accounting.
• Implement/enhance an accounting structure and underlying policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor accounting team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
  
  

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• CPA is a plus
• 7+ years of proven, progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Exposure to acquisition transactions (or an understanding of underlying concepts)
• Experience with order management and transactions involving inventories. Some experience with warehouse management preferred.
• Advanced technical GAAP and analytical skills required
