About Our Client
Our client is a leading full-service construction firm and general contractor working on all asset types - They are needing a Project Controller to manage all accounting needs across a large project portfolio.
Job Description
The Controller is responsible for executing a complex portfolio of projects providing financial analysis in support of cost accounting standards, pricing rates, labor reporting, job costing & invoicing. The Controller will ensure compliance with government reporting and procedural standards during project execution. AR, and compliance management processes. Other duties include:
Lead the accounting and financial reporting functions, including cash management, reporting to institutional investors and lenders, overseeing year-end audits and assisting the CFO with FP&A, including special projects as noted in the below duties.Manage the preparation and submission of incurred cost proposals in compliance with DCAA requirements.
Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and government regulations.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes and strategic planning initiatives.
Collaborate with Project Managers, department heads, Project Executives to monitor project budgets, analyze variances, and ensure profitability.
Supervise and mentor finance/accounting staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices related to government contracting and financial management.

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 5-10 years of construction accounting experience.
Experience managing large contracts ($100M and above).
Experience with in a company with revenue of $500 million plus
Minimum of 8 years of experience
Experience with Sage
Ability to lead a team of Project Accountants across multiple sites/projects.

Our client offers a competitive salary with bonus potential + benefits package (Medical, dental, vision, 401k match, PTO, and holidays). Depending on experience, they are prepared to offer $150,000-$200,000
