Disney Entertainment is continuing the journey it started to build a workplace culture where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive and create. To that end, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) People & Culture organization is hiring a DEI People & Culture Coordinator to support our efforts, team executives to drive meaningful impact and a culture where employees can thrive.

The role is multi-faceted with core focus: support up to three executives with scheduling and calendaring, travel and entertainment arrangements and expense report management, administrative assistant tasks; project coordination of employee engagement programs and initiatives; and DEI business partnerships & advising.

The key areas of focus will be rooted in a variety of support in these responsibilities & qualifications:


  • Administrative Support & Execution
    • Manage executives’ calendar and set up meetings. You will act as the point of contact among senior executives, employees, clients and external partners.
    • Prepare Travel & Expense reports, reconcile corporate card expenses and uphold company T&E policies.
    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of department policies, procedures and methods of operation to effectively and efficiently conduct duties and responsibilities.
    • Promote a positive and welcoming attitude in and out of the office; represent the ethos and style as demonstrated by the VP and Director(s).
  • Project Coordination
    • Support team with Inclusion Champions, DEI Councils and Employee Groups’ annual planning, project coordination and cultural observance activations.
    • Designing presentations, spreadsheets, and internal communications for client groups of relevant DEI efforts.
    • Support strategy execution and leadership in carrying out segments and enterprise DEI strategy and initiatives across several businesses within the Studio, and Streaming businesses.
    • Partner closely with local HR Partners to navigate consultative approaches for fostering an inclusive culture.
  • Team Integration & Planning
    • Manage and track invoices from events, mailers, talent appearances in overall SoCal + Shared Services budget.
    • Monitor and prioritize information flow to executives by leading the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on the impact of DEI work for specific client coverage.
    • Maintain updates to DEI partner calendar of cultural heritage observances and key engagement opportunities.
    • Develop and manage relationships with cross-functional teams and across The Walt Disney Company.
  • Skills
    • 2+ years of experience in any of the following disciplines: operations, people & culture/human resources/talent.
    • Foundational knowledge of DEIB principles, practices, and pillars.
    • Team player, who values collaboration and works independently.
    • Highly organized with project management skills.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with employees and diversity of client groups, and gain commitment and support while aligning with the broader strategies, values and priorities.
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment.
    • Able to handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
The hiring range for this position in California is $47,900.00-$64,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
