Objective:

The Corporate Trainer will develop, design, and implement training programs for Heffernan’s employees in collaboration with business unit leaders and subject matter experts. The primary goal is to enhance employee’s knowledge base, skill sets, and improve performance and productivity in their roles. This role supports all Heffernan Group (HG) entities.



Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify employee’s knowledge and gaps in skill, to determine training priorities.
  • Design and develop engaging, interactive, and effective training programs, modules, and materials for different types of learners.
  • Deliver training sessions, either in-person or virtually, to groups of employees and evaluate the effectiveness of each training.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure that training content is accurate and up to date.
  • Develop and administer engagement surveys to gauge the effectiveness of each training program and gather employee feedback.
  • Leverage PowerBI to create interactive and insightful training dashboards, reports, and analytics to monitor and report on training effectiveness and impact.
  • Apply quality and process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma, to optimize training processes and enhance overall program quality.
  • Actively engage with managers and stakeholders to understand and align training priorities.
  • Other projects as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Education – High School graduate/GED required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years technical administrative experience. Insurance industry experience a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proficient in creating and evaluating spreadsheets and data; including pivot tables, formulas, graphs, and charts. Presentation build and design skills experience required.
  • Video editing and design skills required.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI for creating training dashboards and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of quality and process improvement methodologies. Any quality and process improvement certifications are a plus.
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Experience working with learning and project management systems.
  • Adaptable, self-starter with experienced decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, both written and oral.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000. The offer will depend on the geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
