The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Cyber Acquisition Intelligence Analyst (GG-0132-13) to work at the Air Force Research Laboratory on Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH.

Salary Range: $107,233 – $139,407 (includes Local Market Supplement)

In this position you will serve as the Air Force Research Laboratory’s first Cyber Acquisition Intelligence Analyst, reviewing programs and projects for cyber-related risks and Intelligence dependencies. You will identify cyber related intelligence requirements, resolve/mitigate deficiencies, integrate intelligence, and provide needed intelligence data and infrastructure in a timely and secure manner. You will employ your multi-source intelligence analyst skills to engage in the complex technical research, analysis, interpretation, and assessment of information obtained and processed from one or more intelligence sources in support of research and development and customer requirements. You will support advanced risk mitigation efforts for the Laboratory by providing high-fidelity, high confidence cyber threat and vulnerability analysis and conduct threat assessments in support of Cyber Resiliency and Systems Security Engineering. You will have the chance to team with research & development professionals and intelligence and cyber analysts across the enterprise to develop, mature, execute, and report the results of Acquisition Intelligence-related cyber threats and cybersecurity processes. You will be the technical subject matter expert (SME) for cyber related acquisition intelligence requirements.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:


-Experience working cyberspace domain issues in support of operational activities. Education in a relevant field may substitute for experience.

-Willingness to engage with unfamiliar personnel and programs to determine needs, conduct analysis and identify/reduce risk.

-Curiosity and drive to stay abreast of the most current cyber challenges.

  2. Obtain & maintain a Top Secret Security clearance
  3. This is a designated Drug Testing Position
  4. Occasional travel to supported organizations and potentially for training opportunities
