Digital Content Specialist

What we're looking for:

We're looking for a creative digital content creator and marketer who lives and breathes social platforms (primarily Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).

The ideal candidate is passionate about the food and beverage industry and understands our target audiences. They're independent, self-driven, witty, scrappy, and constantly engaging with their digital community. They're a trendsetter - an authority of what's trending, and typically far ahead of the curve on the latest meme or viral craze. They are resourceful, engaging, organized, and flexible. They understand brand aesthetics and are able to create content themselves with minimal resources, and content that can be used on multi-channels. They are customer and community savvy and can seamlessly navigate the nuances of the everchanging TikTok, Instagram, and other social platforms. Aside from content creation, they also understand marketing and can provide regular reporting of each channel's evolving metrics.

Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Develop new and creative highly engaging digital content to grow our social audiences
  • Be one of the faces of our company on Instagram and TikTok to promote and highlight trending/relevant topics for brand awareness, follower growth, and engagement
  • Respond and engage in real-time to posts, questions, comments, stories
  • Work alongside department stakeholders to ensure that content is aligned with brand aesthetics and identity
  • Plan out the monthly social calendar in advance, and communicate updates, content needs, plans with team on a weekly basis
  • Keep up with the latest social media trends such as but not limited to news, memes, industry trends, etc and find dynamic ways to promote the brand's ethos
  • Attend company events to capture and share our most exciting moments with the world including video, still photos, reels, etc
  • Work with external parties including brand partnerships and influencers
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Digital content native - demonstrated portfolio of digital content creation on Instagram, TikTok, and/or YouTube - self-created reels, memes, TikToks, videos, posts, etc
  • Experience engaging with and building a brand's digital community
  • High-level understanding of social platforms and video editing
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Extremely tech-savvy, with strong communication skills
  • Knowledgeable and up-to-date in different social media trends and best practices Able to create one TikTok video per day
  • Committed to brand growth and able to perform
  • Understanding and ability to speak and report on social platform KPIs and metrics
  • Experience with Wordpress and Shopify a plus
  • Experience with paid social advertising (Google SEM, Facebook/Instagram, YouTube, etc) a plus
  • Experience with email marketing via Mailchimp (or a similar platform) a plus
  • Position requires attendance at public and company events, including some nights and weekends

Compensation

As an employee of Night Shift Brewing, the Digital Content Specialist will earn between $55,000 and $70,000 annually, depending on experience. Benefits include health and dental insurance, generous paid time off, 401(k) participation, beer/merchandise credits, and more!

Night Shift Brewing started as a nocturnal hobby for three home-brewing obsessed friends in 2012 out of a small apartment kitchen in Somerville, MA. Since then, Night Shift has grown beyond our wildest dreams. From our state-of-the-art brewing space and Taproom in Everett, to our first restaurant endeavor at Lovejoy Wharf, the motto “craft better” is at the heart of everything we do.
