Job Summary And Responsibilities

Circet USA is a premier telecommunication infrastructure design, build, and maintain partner. The Director, Government Affairs will be responsible to lead all external affairs, partner relationships, and drive the strategy on how best to position and deliver OSP engineering and construction services towards government grant programs providing for the underserved communities. The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to achieve business growth by identifying new opportunities with both government or corporate, building partner relationships, and position Circet USA for success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Perform an executive review of Commercial strategy and lead the execution, per guidance and support offered by Vice President of the Growth and Customer Delivery (GCD) team
  • Drive public relations within Government
  • Create an outreach and communications strategy by State
  • Identify government and other opportunities for Circet USA supporting government grant programs
  • Secure strategic positioning within government grant programs
  • Align closely with the operational team goals
  • Act as a strong team player to drive the success of the organization
  • Take initiative in learning global best practices and implement where best suited
  • Embed self in industry developments, changes, competitor developments
  • Represent the company at industry and government events, conferences, and networking activities, having an active voice on panels in the industry
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to customers
  • Source and capitalize on FTTH engineering and construction opportunities
  • Track and report on strategy progress, business development activities, pipeline, forecasts, and market trends as it relates to government grant programs
  • Uphold, honor and practice the Company Core Values

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Strong network of existing relationships within telecommunication government grant program decision makers
  • Strong understanding of relevant telecommunication government grant programs, process, timelines, decision factors, scorecards
  • Strong ability to memorialize and drive the strategy
  • Business Development orientation
  • Ability to drive partner relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and process multiple data streams
  • High energy, with a strong ‘can do’ attitude
  • Experience and knowledge of FTTH infrastructure engineering and deployment services
  • Ability to communicate across multiple service groups to both internal and external customers
  • Approximately 50%+ travel required for the role

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; seven plus years related experience and/or training in business development and/or telecommunciations grant programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant technical experience and understanding is required. Field experience in FTTH design, build, maintenance services desirable.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents; ability to respond effectively to the technical and most sensitive inquiries.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
