Director of Accounting

Our client is a top Real Estate Management firm based in NYC. They are seeking a Director of Accounting to join the team. This position is hybrid and based 3 out of 5 days per week at their beautiful office in Midtown Manhattan.

Job Details

• Direct and plan all accounting operations and lead the accounting department
• Manage a team of accountants
• Work closely with executive leadership to support business initiatives
• Research and implement financial policies and processes
• Oversee billing and collections
• Manage the budget process and monthly, quarterly, year-end closings
• Prepare financial statements and coordinate audits
• Salary Range: $150-175k annually, based on experience

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required – must have Finance, Accounting, or similar major
• At least 10 years of Real Estate accounting experience – commercial Real Estate, a plus!
• Must have Yardi experience
• Must have experience working with leases from a financial standpoint
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Deep knowledge of Excel and data analytics
• Proven leadership and team management skills
