Director of Accounting Services

LNCsearch has been retained by a hyper growth organization that's expanding into the Nashville market to find a Director of Accounting Services. This Director will contribute to strategic decision-making while ensuring the delivery of exceptional client service and maintaining high standards of financial integrity. This director will have the opportunity to build out the team and continue to grow the business.

Responsibilities will include:

Financial Management:

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for management and clients.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

• Oversee the adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of audit findings.

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

• Collaborate with senior management in the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
• Implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline financial operations and reporting.

Leadership and Team Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
• Provide guidance and training to ensure staff proficiency and adherence to accounting standards.

Tax Management:

• Manage tax planning and compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Stay informed about changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Financial Systems and Technology:

• Evaluate, implement, and maintain accounting software systems and tools to support financial reporting and analysis.
• Ensure the integrity and security of financial data and systems.

Requirements:

• Active CPA Required
• Master's Degree in Accounting Preferred
• 12+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and colleagues
