Director of Business Development

Overview:

IronConnect is seeking Director of Business Development candidates with proven ability to gain access to decision makers, close new business and deepen our business relationships with existing customers to drive sales and meet revenue targets within assigned territories/industries.


In this role, the successful candidate will help set the strategic direction of the sales efforts in their assigned territory/industry and is ultimately responsible for developing and closing new business opportunities. This individual will enthusiastically promote our platform’s full capabilities to targeted prospects and key accounts. The ideal candidate is a proven closer, has strong B2B and/or software (SaaS) sales knowledge, and able to quickly build strong relationships within their territory/market.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales strategy and close deals to attain revenue and profitability targets as set by the organization.
  • Identify, target and gain access to decision makers at prospective customers.
  • Deepen relationships with decision makers at existing customers to drive upsells.
  • Present/pitch new and existing customers on the full suite of products available via the IronConnect platform.
  • Negotiate contract terms, manage deals to a successful closing, and ensure a smooth transition to the Customer Success team.
  • Represent IronConnect at industry trade shows and events.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Sales experience with demonstrable track record of closing deals and meeting/exceeding goals, preferably in a SaaS/software environment;
  • Proven experience expanding territories via efficient hunting methodologies.
  • Natural rapport builder.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills that translate into a confident and convincing pitch, at every level of an organization.
  • Highly skilled at negotiations.
  • Decisiveness, when necessary, coupled with a willingness to seek input and build consensus as much as possible.
  • Deep network and prior experience working with large partners in our markets would be a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
