Director of Community Transitions

Leading Development and Transitions in Senior Living Sector

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance community performance.
  • Work closely with the underwriting team to create proformas for acquisition communities and ensure clear communication of performance expectations.
  • Manage transition processes for acquired and sold communities, ensuring a smooth coordination between outgoing and incoming operators during due diligence and initial operations.
  • Coordinate crucial visits, training sessions, and meetings during the due diligence and acquisition stages.
  • Supervise the creation and execution of transition budgets.
  • Ensure successful openings of new communities by efficiently managing resources within designated timelines.
  • Supervise the recruitment, training, and growth of community teams during pre-opening phases.
  • Initiate effective sales and marketing strategies to achieve pre-lease deposit objectives.
  • Lead the development and execution of operational budgets.
  • Engage in ownership calls with regional leaders to maintain productive communication and positive owner relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in multi-site operations, with a minimum of VP-level responsibility.
  • Preferred experience in senior living or hospitality sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing profit and loss (P&L) statements.
  • Proven ability to establish and uphold relationships with partners, owners, and investors.
  • Strong organizational skills with efficient multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in leadership and team development.
  • Ability to consistently deliver results and exercise sound financial judgment.
  • Proficient in computer software and internet platforms, including email and Excel.
  • Passion for serving older adults and their families.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor always.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as required.
