Position Summary: The eCommerce Director of Content will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. This role requires a creative leader with a strong understanding of DTC eCommerce and a proven track record of creating compelling content for YouTube and other social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement a cohesive content strategy aligned with business goals, focusing on YouTube and other relevant digital platforms.
    • Identify key content themes, topics, and formats that resonate with our target audience and drive engagement.
  • YouTube Channel Management:
    • Oversee the creation, production, and publishing of high-quality video content for our YouTube channel.
    • Develop a content calendar and ensure consistent delivery of engaging and relevant videos.
    • Optimize YouTube content for SEO and audience retention.
  • Content Creation and Production:
    • Lead a team of content creators, videographers, editors, and other creative professionals.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create compelling content that showcases our products, brand story, and customer experiences.
    • Ensure all content meets brand guidelines and maintains a high standard of quality.
  • Performance Analysis and Optimization:
    • Monitor and analyze the performance of content across YouTube and other digital platforms.
    • Use data-driven insights to optimize content strategy and improve engagement, reach, and conversion rates.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance content performance.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to align content efforts with overall business objectives.
    • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management:
    • Manage the content budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize ROI.
    • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external content providers and agencies.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in content creation and strategy, with a focus on DTC eCommerce and YouTube.
  • Proven track record of growing and managing successful YouTube channels.
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, and editing abilities.
  • Proficiency in video production and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for creativity, innovation, and staying ahead of digital content trends.
