JOB SUMMARY: The Aleut Corporation (Aleut) is seeking an experienced Director of Corporate Finance to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing all financial activities of the organization, which includes strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash management. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of financial analysis and accounting policies, as well as experience managing large budgets and producing financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Primary Responsibilities

Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls that ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting cycles, including the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
Lead the production of EBITDA and CAPEX reporting and analysis.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategic plans that focus on revenue growth, expense reduction, and improving financial performance.
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP for the Aleut family of companies.
Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making, including profitability analysis of products and services, cost analysis of operations, and potential investment opportunities.
Direct the management of the organization's cash flow, including monitoring cash balances, managing investments, and overseeing the financing of capital projects.
Ensure treasury management strategies are implemented and accounting policies and procedures are adhered to.
Manage banking relationships, including debt to equity ratios, banking reporting, line of credit and financing activities.
Manage investment portfolios, including quarterly reviews, strategy, portfolio benchmarking and ensuring capital preservation as well as growth to benefit shareholders.
Provide both standard and ad-hoc reporting to operations and executive management using KPI’s as well as industry benchmarks to grow subsidiary operations operating income.
Perform analysis on M&A opportunities and work closely with the Growth and Strategy department to recommend acquisition opportunities to management and board.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
Demonstrated ability to analyze multiple aspects of financial data, historical actuals, budgets, forecasts, operational metrics and drivers, etc.
Demonstrated ability to improve financial performance through financial modeling, analysis, and budgetary control.
In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, accounting principles, and financial management.
In-depth knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting.
Ability to exercise sound judgement, tact, discretion, and initiative.
Ability to remain focused and remain effective in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment where a more than 40-hour week may be necessary.
Demonstrated expertise in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Occasional travel to other local and out of state business sites, conferences and meetings is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
Seven (7) years of experience in finance or banking.
Five (5) years’ leadership experience (can run concurrent with #2 above).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
CPA, CMA, or CFA designation.
Experience working within an Alaska Native Corporation.
Experience with DCAA and Government Accounting.
Working experience and knowledge of multiple accounting systems including; Intac, Costpoint, and Deltek.
