PlayCore is seeking a Director of Operations responsible for overseeing, developing, and executing all manufacturing strategies for the Aquatics Play Division.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Committed to improving and sustaining a Safety-First culture
Develop manufacturing, procurement, and engineering procedures to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards
Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies that align with the overall business plan
Establish and maintain dashboards / score cards for manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, and engineering functions to ensure that we meet or exceed our budgeted and forecasted obligations
Lead daily Gemba process to ensure Metrics are being met and/or Corrective Actions are being carried out
Formulate policies and procedures to guide the organization in maintaining and improving our competitive position in the marketplace
Train and develop associates to improve the overall bench strength of the organization
Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor

Education And/or Experience
BA/BS in industrial, operations management or engineering or related discipline required
5-plus years of progressive manufacturing management, preferably in a process-oriented operations
Travel
10% or as required
Computer Skills
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
MRP/ERP experience a plus but not required
Other Requirements
Previous middle market company experience in a high growth company environment
Practical experience in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools and processes
Will have a thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment
Requires broad technical or administrative experience in a manufacturing environment

Ideal candidate will be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently while achieving positive results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory.
Ability to communicate expectations, remove roadblocks and drive accountability
At least 5 years leadership experience in operations in middle market sized companies, 30+ employee base
Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
