We are looking for a Director of Proposal Development to support Intrepid Corporate. The Director of Proposal Development will lead a team of proposal and business development professionals to accomplish the timely and effective submission of proposals and other technical documents in support of Business Capture efforts. The Director will integrate with the Growth team throughout the Capture process to drive the collection and alignment of critical data required to formulate effective and compelling proposals.

Your Day-to-day Work Will Include

  • Serving as the Senior leader for proposal strategy to Growth and Executive leadership.
  • Serving as Proposal Manager on high priority proposals. Leads, directs, and assists proposal volume leads, and leads Proposal support team.
  • Developing and leading the Intrepid proposal development process across the proposal lifecycle, including process training and familiarization for team members.
  • Directing process management and oversee proposal quality, including by working closely with proposal managers, tracking capture progress, reviewing proposal drafts, and troubleshooting complex challenges.
  • Being responsible for RFP/RFI analysis; leads the development, production, and delivery of RFIs, proposals, and proposal-related products.
  • Engaging early with Strategic Account Managers to fully describe proposal-related requirements and assign proposal resources as required.
  • Being responsible for end-to-end ownership and command of proposal development and related support processes, including desktop publishing and graphics development.
  • Facilitating solution development working sessions across the lifecycle to formulate and integrate proposal strengths, discriminators, and strategies with a compliant and efficient structure.
  • Leading or coordinating all proposal color team reviews; develops review packages and consolidates feedback.
  • Collaborating with all Intrepid Corporate teams including Contracts, Security, Human Resources, Program Control, and IT as needed to ensure all RFP requirements are addressed.
  • Collaborating with teaming partners as appropriate.
  • Being responsible for providing input and accessibility to proposal resources including past performance, resumes, prior proposal database, and other boilerplate information including corporate overview, core competencies, program management plan, contract/sub-contract management plan, quality assurance plan, retention plan, etc.
  • Confirming through appropriate compliance reviews that proposals comply with all RFP requirements and all proposal production requirements, as required.
  • Capturing lessons learned from all proposals and providing feedback.
  • Maintaining flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

At a Minimum, You Should Have

  • An active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • A bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in a non-STEM field.
  • 10 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • The ability to work independently, proactively identifying and completing tasks.
  • A working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of both Capture and Proposal teams and possess basic knowledge of the Government acquisition, procurement, governance, and contracts processes and policies.
  • Significant understanding of industry-standard proposal development processes and present the ability to provide effective leadership throughout the proposal lifecycle.

Estimated Pay: $150,000 to $160,000

The provided salary range serves as a broad reference. However, Intrepid takes various factors into account when establishing base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and prevailing market conditions.
