Job Brief
As the Director of Quality, you will play a critical role in building and growing Twelve’s quality program. We are looking for you to develop and implement quality programs, continuous improvement initiatives, and establish a quality control and quality assurance organization to support our CO2 electrolyzer development and manufacturing. As a leader of the quality team, you will work cross-functionally with supply chain, materials scientists, process engineers, manufacturing operations, hardware and software engineering teams to champion quality across Twelve.
This is an on-site role primarily in Alameda, California, with split time in Berkeley.

Job Brief

What you will do:
- Develop, implement, and sustain a comprehensive quality assurance and quality control program (QMS) for Twelve’s technology development. This program is expected to include:
- Institute a quality preventative workflow that includes failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
- Establish a control system and the controlling documentation that include IQC methods, management of change (MOC), and engineer change order (ECO).
- Create and implement a quality detection process that includes non-conforming reporting (NCR), root cause analysis (RCA), statistical process control (SPC), material review board (MRB), and corrective and preventive action (CAPA).
- Manage and continue building a functional team of quality control assurance and control technicians, supervisors, and engineers.
- Build reliability and drive operational efficiency by developing and tracking performance metrics, such as monitoring quality of process, inputs, and outputs to improve product yield, throughput, cost, and manufacturability.
- Be the voice of quality at Twelve by advocating the integration of quality measures at all steps of the development process.

- Demonstrate experience in developing, implementing, and managing quality management systems (QMS), and sustaining quality operations.
- Familiarity with high-throughput production processes from bench to pilot-scale, especially those that focus on manufacturing electrochemical, electronic, or related devices (e.g. medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech) in a clean-room environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, including a non-exempt workforce.
- Excited to work as part of a highly collaborative, dynamic, and diverse team, especially through technical uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Ability to influence and align quality expectations across the organization.
- Exceptional data analysis using a scripting language with a focus on statistics.
