Overview

The Technical Director of Intelligence Services will be responsible for managing a team comprised of both intelligence and forensic analysts and leading the growth and analytic capabilities of ViaPath’s intelligence solutions and services for their assigned region. The Director is responsible for driving intelligence service and solution implementations, and proactively providing support to nationwide intelligence services sales efforts. The Director is also responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining additional talent to bolster and expand these areas.

This is a remote based position with a requirement to travel. Must be based in the Eastern or Central timezone and local to an airport to be able to meet the travel requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision for a team of intelligence analysts and/or analyst supervisors tasked with general all-source intelligence responsibilities and digital forensic services.
  • Develop and promote a common departmental vision; Establish strategic goals, objectives, and priorities with an emphasis on responsiveness and positive impact on GTL and customer priority initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Intelligence Services as a key leader in the Intelligence Services business unit to shape the business and market strategy, and develop and drive the growth and expansion of Intelligence as a Service.
  • In close partnership with the Fusion management, establish detailed metrics to track and report on results and impact generated by the analysts and fusion centers.
  • Evangelize Intelligence as a Service to internal and external stakeholders; take ownership of the Fusion product, and in collaboration with senior leadership – including product marketing, channel development, sales and account management – ensure Fusion product positioning and pricing strategy is geared toward profitability.
  • Drive and maintain customer intelligence tools implementations to include the conceptual and physical development of intelligence algorithms .
  • Work closely with clients to identify data needs, and work to ensure successful transfer of data from client to ViaPath.
  • Assist in the implementation of intelligence solution(s) and provide training to end users, as necessary.
  • Manage or delegate other duties as required through growth and expansion of the business unit.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 years’ intelligence or investigative work for a local, state, or federal entity.
  • A minimum of five years’ supervision experience, preferably leading an intelligence or investigative team or unit.
  • Strong technology understanding and background to include experience working with ETL - SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) preferred, will consider other data mining software and/or technologies or Excel formulas
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field criminal justice or business-related field preferred.
  • Expertise in data analysis, intelligence tools, and working with large data sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business units to drive efficiency and ensure high-quality, timely solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to handle multiple high-priority tasks and initiatives concurrently; own and manage multiple deadlines to successful completion.
  • Ability and desire to work as part of a leadership team to develop and drive vision and results at every level of the business unit; collaborative spirit and flexibility to shift focus and priorities to maintain alignment with and drive business unit direction.
  • Ability to work well with a remote team of collaborators.
  • Ability and willingness to travel ~50% of the time is required.
