Position Overview

As the Director, Partnerships and Acquisitions, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and acquiring renewable energy projects across the USA. This position is a unique opportunity for a visionary leader to drive the growth of our renewable energy portfolio and contribute to a more sustainable future while identifying new markets and investment opportunities for PSE to consider.


Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate the competitive landscape and identify strategic opportunities.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including project developers, landowners, utilities, and regulatory authorities.
  • Project/Partner Identification: Identify and assess potential solar energy project opportunities by monitoring industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory developments.
  • Due Diligence: Lead comprehensive due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and site evaluation.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate and structure project acquisition agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for PSE leveraging PSE’s internal engineering, design, development, customer acquisition and available financial resources to purchase projects at attractive returns for PSE.
  • Financial Modeling: Understand the PSE financial models to evaluate the economic feasibility and profitability of potential acquisitions.
  • Project Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition of acquired projects into PSE's portfolio.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations related to solar energy projects and ensure compliance throughout the acquisition process.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports and updates to senior management regarding the status of acquisition efforts, project pipelines, and potential risks.
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team of professionals involved in project acquisitions, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.


  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy project acquisitions, origination or development, with a proven track record of successful transactions in the renewables industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including solar and battery technology, financing mechanisms, and market dynamics.
  • Exceptional negotiation and deal structuring skills, with a keen ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative and goal-oriented approach.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to visit project sites and meet with potential partners.


Salary: 100,000 - 150,000 USD

Bonus Opportunity: 50% - 100% of annual salary
