The Staff Pad is seeking a Director Pharmacy in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing pharmacy services.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Overseeing purchasing, distribution/dispensing, and accountability of charges.
Managing personnel, including work assignments, education, supervision, and evaluation of both licensed and non-licensed staff.
Disseminating information to pharmacy, nursing, and medical staff.
Handling financial management, including fiscal budgeting and controlled-substance accountability processes.
Leading program development and staff evaluation.
Actively participating in committees responsible for establishing medication-related policies and procedures.
Position Qualifications:
Education:
B.S., M.S., or Pharm-D degree in Pharmacy.
MBA or MHSAP is desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of five years’ experience as a Registered Pharmacist.
Two years of pharmacy supervisory/management experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Licenses/Certificates:
Licensed in New Mexico.
Must hold or obtain certification in sterile product preparation as defined by NMBOP.
