Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for the success of assigned functions within the distribution center environment to ensure that it is an outstanding place to work.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the supervision of Inbound Operations, Warehouse Operations, and Outbound Operations.
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Education & Experience:
Associates Degree in Business Management or related field.
5+ years experience in distribution center environment.
3+ years experience leading, developing and mentoring direct reports.
1 year experience using WMS systems.
