Job Title: Donor Relations Coordinator

Location: Valley Forge, PA

Reports To: President

Position Type: Part-Time, 25 hours a week

Job Summary:

The Fund Development Coordinator will support the mission of Scripture Union-USA by coordinating and implementing fundraising initiatives. This role involves donor relations, event planning, grant writing, and supporting the overall development strategy to ensure financial sustainability and growth.


Key Responsibilities:


Development Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the President to create and execute a comprehensive development plan.
  • Analyze fundraising data and trends to inform strategy and improve effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on fundraising best practices and trends in the nonprofit sector.
  • Run reports for development strategy.


Donor Relations:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors.
  • Prepare and send thank you letters, updates, and other correspondence to donors.
  • Develop donor management processes in donor database software (CRM).
  • Assist in managing donor databases and tracking major donor contributions.


Grant Writing:

  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit grant applications and proposals.
  • Maintain records of all grant applications and manage reporting requirements.


Fundraising Campaigns:

  • Develop and implement annual and project giving campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on campaign progress and outcomes.


Event Planning:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising events.
  • Work with vendors, venues, and other stakeholders to ensure successful events.


Qualifications:

  • Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and active member of a local church.
  • Commitment to the mission and vision of Scripture Union-USA.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • 2+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related area.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in donor database software (CRM).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with grant writing and grant management.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and legal requirements.
