The Great Lakes Content Studio team is currently seeking editorial interns. The ideal candidate is entering his/her junior or senior year and is a journalism, communications or English major. Recent grads are welcome to apply as well.
This is a remote, unpaid internship. We are seeking candidates that are available 8-10 hours per week. Scheduling and hours are flexible. Internships are offered during the summer, fall and spring semesters.
Responsibilities
Intern duties include writing, editing, fact checking and research. We are looking for this to be a meaningful professional development opportunity for the candidate we select. Other learning opportunities include: participating in editorial meetings and learning the process of assigning content/managing freelance writing.
Qualifications
We are looking for a student with strong attention to detail, writing skills, knowledge of AP style and spelling, punctuation, grammar and phone skills. Candidates also should possess a strong work ethic, be punctual and reliable.
