On Cue Hire is seeking an Executive Producer for our client in Manhattan.
Join a well-established and still rapidly expanding news organization in Manhattan as an Executive Producer. With senior-level producer experience in a live news environment, you will lead the development and execution of news programming with a strategic and editorially sound approach. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely, and compelling news content.
Core Duties And Responsibilities
Strategically select and prioritize news stories to create an engaging daily rundown.
Collaborate with the show host in the preparation and seamless execution of the program.
Identify and highlight compelling news stories that resonate with our audience.
Develop innovative story ideas, conduct thorough research, and plan impactful segments.
Delegate responsibilities effectively to producers, associate producers, and casting producers.
Supervise and mentor production staff to maintain high performance and productivity.
Produce high-quality content under tight deadlines and intense pressure.
Stay informed on domestic and international events and politics to ensure relevant and timely coverage.
Thrive in a competitive environment, demonstrating exceptional editorial judgment and precision.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the news program.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or related experience.
Minimum of 6 years of executive producing experience or overseeing newscast production, major network with live news preferred.
Demonstrated strong writing and organizational skills, with a proven ability to produce content under heavy deadline pressure.
Exceptional multitasking abilities, ensuring efficient handling of multiple projects and deadlines.
Impeccable attention to detail, with the ability to collect, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of data and information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, capable of addressing challenges effectively.
