Job Summary: Faculty position teaching Finance and/or Analytics within the Department of Business
Responsibilities
Teaching:
Teaching Load: 24-27 credit hours of Finance or Analytics courses per academic year (seated and online). Optional summer teaching loads as part of negotiated contract.
Participate in the planning, development, and updating of Business degree areas where primary teaching occurs (BBA in Finance, Analytics) as needed per the guidelines established by the EU Academic Council.
Advising: Advise students in assigned Business majors as necessary (after professor’s first year teaching at Evangel).
Technologies: Fully incorporate the University LMS and other expected/emerging Business technologies into all coursework to enhance the student learning experience.
Office Hours: Maintain in person office hours for student course work consultation, mentoring, and tutoring as described in the Faculty Handbook.
University And Department
University: Participate in at least one university committee. Attend academic development events sponsored by the CAO and Faculty Development Committee and other required University events.
Departmental: Attend and participate in all department meetings and sponsored events.
Community Outreach: Explore and cultivate working relationships with area Businesses and organizations in the areas of Finance or Analytics. Attend Business Advisory Committee meetings hosted by the department.
Research And Assessment
Remain current regarding content area trends, developments, and technologies. Publishing is encouraged but not required.
Cooperate in data collection, review, and reporting on related Business area degrees according to ACBSP, HLC and Evangel University standards. Follow ACBSP and University guidelines for degree changes.
Research alternative program tracks for the respective degree programs. Participate in the development of an online Business courses and a seated/hybrid/online MBA program.
Qualifications
Earned doctorate (PhD or DBA) in Finance or Analytics. MBA in one of these areas, Master of Accounting, or similar ABD degrees considered.
Meet ACBSP accreditation faculty standards.
Professional licensing preferred.
Membership in Business-related organizations (academic and professional).
Practical Business experience preferred.
Undergraduate and graduate level teaching experience (both seated and online).
