Job Details

Position Summary Directs and supports financial activities of the organization. This position will be the right hand to the CFO and partner with both the CFO and CEO in making informed business decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes, but is not limited to, the following activities

• Full General Ledger accounting duties, including research, analysis, reconciliation, journal entries, consolidation accounting and financial statement prep.
• Ensure month-end close processes are completed within 10 business days
• Inventory accounting, cost accounting, and variance analysis.
• Provide profitability reporting monthly, by customer, by product.
• Royalty tracking, reporting, invoices/payments
• Monthly bank and covenant compliance reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset reporting and depreciation calculations, and conduct physical audits
• Manage the corporate credit card account
• Manage accounting staff ensuring coverage and support for key functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits administration, etc.
• Review payroll prior to submitting
• Assist CFO with external CPA firm (year-end audit, disclosures, and tax returns), operational reporting and ad hoc projects.
• Manage all HR functions
  
  

Qualification to perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Must have Manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of GAAP, including how to research and recommend accounting treatments
• Self-starter with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility
• Ability to self-manage time and tasks
• Motivated and disciplined with a strong desire to succeed, learn, and drive positive change
• Effectively works in teams to solve problems
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required, strong Excel skills preferred
• Excellent communication skills required with both internal and external customers.
• Maintains upmost confidentiality and integrity
  
  

Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or accounting, and seven to ten years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA preferred.
