SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst, Reporting, Systems & Analysis position provides key support for FP&A and Accounting by performing a variety of financial activities including reporting, analysis, using and building financial models and providing insights and interpretation of financial data using automated systems and tools in collaboration with colleagues and business partners across the organization to promote growth aligned with company strategies and targets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for preparation of the monthly financial package, including preparation of all financial statements, bank covenant statement, investor reporting, variance analysis, margin analyses, and others.
  • Support FP&A team by preparing and providing relevant information and financial analysis required for external disclosures, board meetings and management reporting including fluctuation and trending analysis, forecast results and long-term planning information as needed.
  • Review, monitor and analyze enhanced management reports / dashboards / KPI’s to improve business partner business understanding, financial literacy and decision making (Sales/Deduction reporting, cash dilution analysis, customer P&L’s, Amazon Spend analysis etc). Under the direction of the Manager, FP&A Operations & Supply Chain, develop new reports and dashboards.
  • Assist in the preparation of 3-year operating plans, annual budget and LE (forecast) update
  • Independently perform analysis using pre-existing models to support decision making while also identifying opportunities for improvement/automation.
  • Effectively discuss complex financial concepts with those inside and outside the finance organization.
  • Act as a Finance department subject matter expert for Workday Adaptive with special emphasis on planning and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A, Controller and IT team in the development and maintenance of financial tools, systems and reporting with the goal of being the finance systems subject matter expert (Power BI, Adaptive, Microsoft Dynamics AX financial master data, TradePro financial master data, and others).
  • Perform economic research and studies where analysis of situations or data require as needed.
  • Other projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Experience/Education:
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in Finance
  • Solid knowledge of financial information systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent education
  • CPA or public accounting experience is a plus
  • Background and exposure to areas of finance such as FP&A, accounting and/or tax preferred.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
  • Ability to review, prepare, and analyze financial, statistical and analytical reports and metrics.
  • Ability to identify financial performance trends, anticipate impacts and explain variances.
  • Skills and aptitude to analyze, prioritize, and synthesize all types of information to allow consistent, timely and effective business impact.
  • Ability to use and develop detailed / automated financial models.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP
  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail
  • Well-developed planning, organization, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build partnerships, problem solve, influence decisions and work in a collaborative style both within finance and with business partners throughout the organization.
  • Forward-thinking in implementing tools and techniques to improve analytics to drive better business decisions

Technical Skills:
  • Familiar with financial planning / management reporting systems (Hyperion, Cognos, Adaptive, Host, etc.); Workday Adaptive preferred.. Design and implementation experience a plus.
  • Proficient with accounting and ERP systems such as Dynamics AX
  • Intermediate level skills with MS Office Suite including: Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Must demonstrate strong aptitude for Excel; advanced level Excel skills preferred (queries, macros and advanced pivot tables).
Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional overnight travel to conferences / seminars or other company locations may be required
  • Travel to and from the Rohnert Park, CA offices and Sebastopol, CA offices for work purposes

Compensation range is $79,200 - $103,950
Compensation is determined based on non-discriminatory, business-related factors, including but not limited to, training, experience, education and/or professional certifications, geographic location, and market data.
