Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fixed Asset Accountant to assist the accounting and finance team on a renewable mega project in Beaumont, TX. This will be a permanent, full-time role working under the Director of Finance.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing year-end fixed asset analyses and disclosure statements, ensuring data integrity, managing data migration, and conducting data and system testing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our financial reporting processes and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
Prepare year-end fixed asset analyses and disclosure statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
Maintain accurate fixed asset records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular reviews of fixed asset data to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage data migration projects and ensure smooth transitions between systems.
Perform data and system testing to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of financial information.
Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed to support the finance team and achieve company objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or similar professional certification preferred.
3+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations, including ASC 842 and IFRS 16.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
