Full-Stack Developer

Charleston, SC

We are seeking a Full-Stack developer that can build web-based and local applications that support various custom AI models. These projects will entail manipulating images, mathematics with multi-dimensional arrays, 3D simulations, and other programming features as needed. Software products will be deployed locally and on servers, based on the requirements of the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop web-based applications for image manipulation and AI segmentation using an agile development framework.
  • Implement mathematical calculations on images and other multi-dimensional arrays.
  • Integrate sensors and other hardware with 3D simulated environments.
  • Integrate AI algorithms with UI software
  • Ensure the applications can be deployed on local computers, local servers, or cloud servers.
  • Ensure the applications are optimized for speed, scalability, and usability.
  • Ensure the security and privacy of user data.
  • Research new opportunities, research new tools, and develop innovative software applications.

Requirements:

  • At minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field--MA or MS is preferred.
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance

Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience in Full-Stack development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, and subsequent state management libraries.
  • Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js with Express.js, and
  • Experience with databases such as MongoDB, T-SQL, NoSQL, or other relational database structures.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of best security practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong experience in using agile development frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing applications that meet general industry standards.
  • Familiarity with local servers and/or cloud services such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform, and deployment tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.
  • Knowledge of image analysis techniques such as edge detection, feature extraction, and classification.
  • Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3.js or Plotly.js.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization techniques such as lazy loading or code splitting.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher
