General Manager / Managing Director

An established, growing and profitable company is looking to add a General Manager/Managing Director to their team near Eureka, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives
• Ensure employees are motivated and productive
• Oversee day-to-day operations and make adjustments as necessary
• Present operational strategy recommendations to the President/Owner
• Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
• Manage budgets, develop and implement budgets plans for the department and company
• Build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders
• Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated and followed at all times
• Assess overall company performance against objectives
• Represent the company in events, conferences etc.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing related, required.
• Minimum of 5-7+ years proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role, required
• Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision, required
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles, required
• Industrial Manufacturing environment experience, required
• Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
• An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
