Strategic Account Manager-Industrial & Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Controls, & IT
As the Global Category Manager-Services, focusing on category spend in the US, Canada, and Mexico, you will lead strategic and complex procurement sourcing activities for services such as labor, consultants, and professional services. . Your primary responsibility will be to develop and lead a global sourcing strategy that delivers optimal levels of service and results. This involves planning, business needs assessment, industry analysis, strategy definition, execution, supplier selection, transactional planning, and contracting.
Responsibilities
Define, develop, and implement global sourcing strategies for managed categories, aligning with company goals
Lead the global sourcing process, including eSourcing RFI/RFP/RFX, negotiations, and contract execution with selected suppliers
Collaborate with senior leaders and partners to develop short-term and long-term category goals and pipeline opportunities, providing solutions to achieve these goals
Monitor the supplier market, identify opportunities and industry trends, and use market intelligence to validate and benchmark costs and competitive pricing
Prioritize and conduct spend and savings analysis
Manage initiatives within assigned categories, meeting defined timelines and providing proactive status communication to partners
Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contract obligations, SLAs, KPIs, and metrics to maximize compliance and avoid issues
Forecast Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for proposed solutions
Adhere to cost reduction and savings goals, developing financial models for category spend
Ensure adherence to company processes and procedures
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing services
Experience in global category management and strategic sourcing, including advanced contract terms and conditions
Proven experience in negotiation and best-in-class practices to assess and manage contractual, operational, financial, and risk
Professional qualifications or certifications from related professional organizations (CPM, CPSM, APICS) are advantageous
