We are currently working on behalf of our client, a private Houston foundation established over 75 years ago, to hire a Grant Administrator. The Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life of all people in Houston through sustained investments in high-performing education, health care, public service and arts organizations and invests approximately $18 million annually through grants to a variety of non-profit organizations.
Position Summary:
- Plays a critical role in the grant-making process, ensuring the effective and efficient distribution of funds to high-impact organizations.
- Manages the logistics of a full grant cycle, from application intake to follow-up reporting.
- Seeks ways to constantly improve the grantmaking experience for grantees and Foundation staff, as well as find new ways to utilize data and systems to create actionable insights.
- Plays a key role in general office administration duties.
- This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer, and offers a hybrid work structure, along with excellent benefits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, required
- Five or more years of professional experience in grant management
- High comfort level with web-based technology, from website management to web-based applications
- Experience with grant management software
- Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational, project and time management abilities
- Must be able to set priorities and work in a self-directed fashion
