Position Purpose And Objectives

The Instructional Designer is a function of Learning & Development and supports the mission, values, and culture of Republic Bank by working closely as a resource, advisor, and consultant with all departments of the organization. This position will serve to design e-learning/classroom materials and other communication materials as needed. Subjects can include various sales, service, banking, technology, soft skill, and hard skill topics, while ensuring linkage to company goals and values.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in learning design required.
  • Knowledge of e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Vyond, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar software required.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint administration preferred.
  • Previous banking experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint) required.

Essential Job Functions

  • Copyedit content written by self and other associates for spelling, grammar, and consistency, paying close attention to detail to ensure accuracy, language, and brand consistency of all messaging.
  • Design and develop interactive learning courses that encourage engagement, knowledge, and understanding of delivered content and encompass the Bank’s culture.
  • Collaborate with managers/departments and team members to establish project timelines and deadlines to deliver content.
  • Maintain, update, and enhance existing content and designs to lead to further engagement.
  • Build associate engagement through the development and execution of communication and training strategies to drive desired behaviors and provide easy-to-access, relevant, and engaging enterprise information/learning through tools and resources.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts to conduct needs assessments, develop content, and evaluate effectiveness after delivery.
  • Provide support for executive leadership and directors, including creating enhanced content for executive and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Champion a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages diversity of thought.
  • Benchmark best practices of other companies and organizations and recommend changes as appropriate.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
  • Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank’s values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
  • Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Other Requirements

  • Travel between Republic Banking facilities is required.
  • Occasional out-of-town travel is required.
  • Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings, weekends, and overtime.
  • Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
