The St. Louis Blues seek qualified candidates who are passionate about creating fun and engaging content for social media and interested in a future career in digital to serve as a season-long Social Media Intern. This is paid role.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with the creation and implementation of engaging social media content, including but not limited to photos, graphics, gifs and short videos
- Provide input and ideation for emerging platforms, including TikTok
- Support digital team’s efforts throughout the season with gameday content, promotions, theme nights and special events
- Work with marketing team to conceptualize and pitch ideas for social media, website and/or video features
- Assist with day-to-day account monitoring and moderation, and provide customer service to fans in a timely and professional manner
- Get real-world experience covering live events on social media
- Report on social analytics and trend-spotting
- Opportunity to work collaboratively with and learn from other departments across the organization, including marketing, sponsorship, sales, retail, game entertainment and community relations
- Other duties as assigned
- Communications, digital media, journalism or related degree preferred
- Passion for social media and marketing with an interest in pursuing future career in digital media
- Innovative person, who is looking to put their creativity to work
- An eye for content and what will engage fans
- Knowledge of social platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, along with an interest in emerging platforms
- Experience with photography, videography and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with attention to detail, are a must
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule around game days/nights, including weekends
