Join our dynamic team as a Lab Assistant, where you'll leverage your surgical technology expertise to manage students' laboratory training under the direct supervision of the Program Director.

In the realm of Student Success, the role involves providing assistance to students during their laboratory experience, ensuring alignment with all curriculum requirements. Additionally, the role supports the Program Director with managing student files, surveys, schedules, and tracking required hours. In terms of Laboratory Management, the responsibilities include overseeing the organization of the laboratory, ensuring adherence to safe procedures, and attending assigned safety training sessions.

The successful candidate will believe in and support the student first philosophy while contributing to the overall success of Baker College, while acting as a positive role model and brand ambassador on and off campus. Requirements

An ideal candidate is required to have an Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in surgical technology. A minimum of 1 year in the program field is required. Candidates must be knowledgeable in program software and equipment, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to lift and maneuver independently up to 25 lbs.
