Museum Education Associate

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Education, English, History, or related field
  • Experience working with 7th through 12th grade learners

Preferred Qualifications

This position requires effective organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills, as well as a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point. A high level of organization, flexibility, resourcefulness and professionalism is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are critical, as is attention to detail. Previous gallery/museum work preferred. Must have a deep interest in social justice, human rights, and/or holocaust/genocide education and dialogue.

Additional Preferred Qualifications Include

  • Knowledge of national, state, and local education systems, practices, and curriculum standards.
  • Knowledge of informal learning, out of school learning, arts integration and/or interdisciplinary learning, and/or project-based learning practices.
  • Basic proficiency with graphic design and design of instructional assets.
