Summary of Job Description:

New Store Opening Operations Coach leads or participates in company-wide new store openings, leveraging new store opening program committee and regional new store opening teams to open new stores successfully. This position identifies the opportunity and implements best practice from initiation, including timeline, resources needed, and expected outcomes, in consultation with the Director, New Store Opening. This position leads a team of professional associates, coaching and developing them to elevate their performance in support of the company’s growth strategies.


You’ll get a chance to:

  • Lead or participate in company-wide new store openings, leveraging new store opening program committee and regional new store opening teams to open new stores successfully.
  • Identify the opportunity, monitors the return on investment, and implements best practice from initiation, including timeline, resources needed, and expected outcomes, in consultation with the Director, New Store Opening.
  • Manage, coach, and develop professional associates to elevate their performance to support the company’s growth strategies.
  • Work with the Director, New Store Opening on selection, evaluation, and retention of New Store Opening staff.
  • Coordinate and assist in certification of the regional new store opening teams, work with the Director on assigning them to their new store opening location, and ensure they uphold high operation standard.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the New Store Opening Department.
  • Serve as new store opening operational consultant to the NSO Program Committee in representing Operations perspective.
  • Ensure the New Store Opening Department provides effective support to the NSO Program Committee and to Operations.
  • Provide effective and timely response to any questions from Operations.

Your background and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Operations management experience or completion of all GO 100 courses; transfer from Operations at ACO/Level 1
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience, with increasing managerial responsibility
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.


Work Environment

  • Office conditions; travel to stores, off-site meetings, and conferences: up to 70%
