Overview: Are you a dynamic and strategic sales professional with a passion for the marine industry? TACO Marine is seeking an experienced OEM Sales Manager to drive revenue and profitability within our OEM market segment. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for formulating and executing strategic sales plans, managing key customer relationships, developing sales forecasts, pricing strategies, introducing new products, and providing solid leadership and direction to our sales team. Your strong communication and organizational skills will be crucial in effectively presenting the Voice of the Customer and contributing to our overall growth objectives and continued success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan and strategy to achieve desired sales revenue and gross profit within the OEM segment
Manage and analyze sales forecasts, market trends, and competitive activity to adjust strategies accordingly
Develop professional business relationships with key customers centered around a consultative sales approach
Set pricing policies and guidelines in alignment with profitability objectives and market dynamics
Provide leadership, coaching, and training to the sales team to enhance their performance and ensure alignment with company goals
Utilize CRM systems to track sales metrics and customer interactions, ensuring efficient management of leads, opportunities, and accounts
Collaborate cross-departmentally with marketing, customer service, purchasing, product development, and operations teams to drive sales initiatives and meet overall company objectives
Present the Voice of the Customer, advocating for customer needs and preferences to inform product development and marketing strategies
Demonstrate strong analytical skills to evaluate sales performance, identify opportunities for growth, and mitigate risks
Create and manage the OEM budget and expenses to meet company plan expectations
Qualifications:
Proven experience in OEM sales management, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all customer levels and internally
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM systems for sales management
Strong presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying complex information to diverse audiences
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across departments to achieve shared goals
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement sales strategies that drive business growth
Results-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality performance and customer satisfaction
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales management within the recreational marine industry preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, preferred, or equivalent experience
Willing to travel as necessary (up to 50% of the time)
