Microsoft’s Business Planning organization directs our commercial portfolio’s pricing, packaging, licensing, channel, and monetization strategies. Few organizations exist that have such a direct impact on how Microsoft goes to market, which reverberates across the entire industry. Within Business Planning, the New Commerce and Commercial Strategy organization works across Azure, Microsoft365 (M365) and Dynamics 365 driving cross-cloud monetization strategies for how and where customers buy. This includes ensuring the Microsoft Field, Partners and Customers are enabled to adopt commercial strategies and initiatives.

As the Partner Change Management & Enablement Lead, you will have the opportunity to lead through partner change management for key commerce changes and ensure that our partners are equipped to have the right conversations with our customers.

You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across change management, business planning, product marketing, commercial sales field (Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions) and partner organization (Global Partner Solutions) to ensure we drive awareness and adoption of Microsoft's commerce changes.

We're seeking a passionate leader who will work to enable the ecosystem of thousands of Cloud Solution Providers (CSP) and the broader partner ecosystem including indirect providers, and resellers to effectively land commerce changes with our customers. You will be seen as the key advocate across our audiences: field, partners and customers and have empathy for challenges they face on day-to-day basis. This will be reflected in the partnerships you build with those audiences.

In this role you will have a good understanding of the Cloud Solution Provider partner ecosystem Microsoft works with and the impact commerce changes will have on doing business with our customers. You’ll apply this understanding of the partner landscape to ensure we have the right level of change management to help make partners successful.

Responsibilities

  • Plans Go-To-Market Execution - Executes strategies to ensure market readiness for new solution or offer launches.
  • Create effective train-the-trainer model and resources for our indirect provider partners to scale readiness with resellers and to end customer.
  • Collaborate with our partner organization on creating accountability framework for indirect providers.
  • Create Partner change enablement playbook in collaboration with stakeholders to guide partners on their change management journey.
  • Work directly with the sales field and partners to understand challenges and work across those audiences to drive better experience.
  • Designs, executes, and localizes through-partner customer marketing materials to support adoption of new commerce and high growth business models at scale.
  • Works across organizations to orchestrate communications and awareness supporting key initiatives.
  • Works with customer and partner experience lead on synthesizing information gathered from research to inform effective partner change management execution for our customers.
  • Uses deep industry experience to provide feedback to cross-team stakeholders and partners on how change management and new processes may be improved.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years strategy consulting, project management, finance, business/corporate development, product management, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant partner, readiness, licensing, sales, or marketing experience.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft partner eco-system.
  • Proven record in project management, with flawless planning, execution, and optimization to drive results across the most impactful priorities.
  • Extensive cross-group collaboration and people skills, including leading cross functional teams.
  • Experience leading cross organizational projects and implementing new business models and initiatives.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of stakeholders - from executives to individual contributors and drive impact.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Experience in creating and delivering training and readiness resources to different audiences.
  • Strategic and proactive communications professional with conflict resolutions skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, storytelling, ability to clearly articulate complex issues, formulate recommendations and communicate broadly to a wide variety of audiences.

Business Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
