Assists the pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications. The pharmacy technician will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist in a manner consistent with the rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy.

Assists the pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications. The pharmacy technician will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist in a manner consistent with the rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy.
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Diploma from an approved pharmacy technician training program, an employer based training program or one year experience as a pharmacy technician lieu of accredited pharmacy tech diploma.
Experience
- Minimum one year experience as a pharmacy technician required or, in lieu of experience a diploma/certificate from an approved pharmacy technician training program accepted.
- Computer and keyboard skills.
- Minnesota State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration
- State Requirement
- Valid certification from a national pharmacy technician certification body as defined by the Board of Pharmacy obtained within one year of hire. Certification needs to be maintained once obtained. NMHC Standard
