PHP Developer

As the largest web design agency in the jewelry e-commerce industry, Punchmark empowers jewelers to create their own online presence and drive sales through their websites. We are looking for a developer who would enjoy contributing to the feature development and maintenance of our CMS platform. You will have the opportunity to influence the way customers shop, the way retailers manage their products, the way vendors provide products to retailers, and the way in-store checkout systems integrate with websites.

The ideal candidate has experience problem-solving in PHP and can demonstrate this experience through a portfolio and/or GitHub history. We are looking for someone that operates well on a small team and is able to use git to collaborate with others while maintaining existing code quality. Everyone on our team, regardless of skill level, leaves their ego at home and strives to learn every day. You will be expected to have enough competence to work on tasks by yourself, but you will be amongst others with decades of coding experience to fill in the gaps where you still have opportunities to improve. Bonus points if you have experience writing vanilla JavaScript, writing MySQL, testing code for quality standards, using Linux, navigating AWS servers, using Bash, or working in an Agile environment.

Requirements:

• Experience problem-solving with PHP
• A portfolio or GitHub with examples of your work, including at least one non-school project
• A collaborative attitude that fits well on a team
