Role Description

This is a contract role for an Influencer at Wide Awoke Media, LLC. As a Podcaster, you will be responsible for hosting and producing podcast episodes, conducting interviews, researching topics, scripting and editing content, and promoting episodes on various platforms. This is an on-site role located in Manhattan, NY.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience in hosting and producing podcasts
• Strong research and interviewing skills
• Prior experience in podcasting, journalism, or related fields
• Familiarity with audio editing software, such as Audacity or Adobe Audition
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Passion for storytelling and issues that impact marginalized communities
• Building rapport with guests, making them feel comfortable, and creating an atmosphere conducive to open and honest conversations.
• Collaborating with the production team to ensure the podcast runs smoothly and meets the desired quality standards.
• Staying up to date on current events, pop culture, and music brings a fresh perspective to each episode.
• Ability to research and prepare interview questions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Strong knowledge of music and entertainment, with a passion for discovering new talent and emerging artists.
• A professional and confident demeanor, with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing situations.
