We provide ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy and diagnostic services to our clients and families in our centers, in homes, and in the community. We are currently in 9 states with over 30 clinical service areas, and our roadmap will bring us to 10 states and more than 50 clinical service areas over the next 12-24 months. We have the resources and talent usually found at a more mature organization, including fully staffed teams to support marketing, IT, accounting, and clinic growth.

ABA Centers of America is seeking a PR Manager—Financial & Corporate, to target the business and financial sectors of media for a near-term placement into multiple high-domain authority business publications, such as Inc., Bloomberg Businessweek, Forbes, etc. Ideally, we are seeking to place stories aimed at the billion-dollar investment finance community about the company's impressive business achievements in the healthcare/autism-care space.
What You'll Do
- Use existing media relationships to produce near-term media placements within high-profile business publications, such as Inc., Bloomberg Businessweek, Forbes, etc.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with reporters, editors, and bookers at key media publications, outlets, programs, etc.
- Proactively pursue positive stories, targeting all forms of media: broadcast, digital, podcasts, print, etc., as appropriate for each opportunity that will enhance our brand visibility within the business and finance community as well as the broader autism care industry.
- Develop and execute media campaigns, press releases, and pitches targeted at relevant industry publications, as well as mainstream national and local media outlets.
- Develop thought-leadership content to establish our company as a leader in the autism care industry, particularly within the business and finance domain.
- Create high-quality articles, blog posts, and other content pieces that highlight our expertise, innovative approaches, and impact in the field.
- Assist in identifying and securing speaking opportunities at relevant industry conferences, events, and webinars.
- Measure and evaluate communication efforts.
- Prepare comprehensive reports highlighting key performance indicators, audience engagement, media coverage, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
Education/Experience and Other Requirements
- 5 years working in a public relations or corporate communications function.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous agency experience is a plus.
- Experience writing, editing, and proofreading marketing and/or press materials.
- Familiarity with media database platforms (Cision, Muckrack, etc.).
- Ability to work in downtown Fort Lauderdale, as this will primarily be an in-person position.
- Ability to maintain clean background/drug screenings and driving record.
Expertise Needed
- Strong understanding of the finance and general business sectors of media.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
- Able to stay abreast of current news and trends within the healthcare and general business sector of media.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a deadline-driven environment.
- Detail and service-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects successfully.
