About The Role

The Product Development Specialist is a critical partner in organizing the development of EWC’s proprietary product portfolio.


A Day in the Life

  • Assist the Merchandising Team through all product lifecycle stages from concept to market.
  • Establish product development timelines and hold internal and external stakeholders accountable for key milestones.
  • Process product submissions, organize samples, communicate feedback, and maintain detailed records and approvals.
  • Continuously communicate with suppliers to meet development and commercialization timelines.
  • Schedule and coordinate needs related to product claims testing, including results management and recordkeeping.
  • Proof all product package collateral, coordinate review with internal and external stakeholders, and provide approval to vendors for printing.
  • Ensure the accuracy of item creation, attribute information, and product images.
  • Coordinate sending packages and corresponding materials for development and other product needs.
  • Aide in the development of go-to-market materials.
  • Assist in the development of hindsight reports for each new product launch.
  • Compile market trends and product benchmarks.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the personal care and skin care industries, sharing knowledge and insights with relevant teams, suppliers, and agencies.
  • Will visit our corporate headquarters located in Plano, TX approx. 1-2 times, every 4-6 weeks.


What Sets You Apart

  • Proven experience in product development, retail buying, or merchandising, preferably in the personal care or beauty industries.
  • Basic retail math skills.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and to adjust to shifting priorities as business demands require.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Passion for the personal care industry and a strong understanding of market trends.


Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, or a related field.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in a retail buying, product development, or merchandising environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with merchandising systems are a plus.
