Production Trainee

Responsible for cross-training on various machine centers. Learn to operate and maintain assigned machine centers, particularly the CNC (aka Shapes & Shakes). Act as a team player with all production staff. Ensure that safe work practices are maintained at all times. Will also verify, enters and adjusts data and settings in the inventory system. Will operate forklift as needed and after trained.

Essential Functions

• Ability to work consecutive 12-hour shifts while standing
• Ability to work overtime, as requested
• Ability to work assigned work rotation within plant
• Flexibility to adjust schedule in support of production changes
• Ability to work under pressure

• Responsible for observing all plant standard operating procedures and safety policies

Mental and physical requirements (must be able to perform the following without limitation):

Alert and attention to detail, frequently scanning environment for potential hazards

Physical dexterity: lifting, bending, squatting, reaching, etc.

Ability to climbing on ladders to heights of over 10’

Push, pull, lift, carry up to a maximum of 50#s occasionally, 25# frequently
